시편 16편
1. 하나님이여 나를 지켜 주소서 내가 주께 피하나이다
2. 내가 여호와께 아뢰되 주는 나의 주님이시오니 주 밖에는 나의 복이 없다 하였나이다
3. 땅에 있는 성도들은 존귀한 자들이니 나의 모든 즐거움이 그들에게 있도다
4. 다른 신에게 예물을 드리는 자는 괴로움이 더할 것이라 나는 그들이 드리는 피의 전제를 드리지 아니하며 내 입술로 그 이름도 부르지 아니하리로다
5. 여호와는 나의 산업과 나의 잔의 소득이시니 나의 분깃을 지키시나이다
6. 내게 줄로 재어 준 구역은 아름다운 곳에 있음이여 나의 기업이 실로 아름답도다
7. 나를 훈계하신 여호와를 송축할지라 밤마다 내 양심이 나를 교훈하도다
8. 내가 여호와를 항상 내 앞에 모심이여 그가 나의 오른쪽에 계시므로 내가 흔들리지 아니하리로다
9. 이러므로 나의 마음이 기쁘고 나의 영도 즐거워하며 내 육체도 안전히 살리니
10. 이는 주께서 내 영혼을 스올에 버리지 아니하시며 주의 거룩한 자를 멸망시키지 않으실 것임이니이다
11. 주께서 생명의 길을 내게 보이시리니 주의 앞에는 충만한 기쁨이 있고 주의 오른쪽에는 영원한 즐거움이 있나이다
Psalm 16
A miktam of David.
1 Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.
2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names on my lips.
5 Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

시편 16편
다윗의 믹담 (비밀)
다윗의 믹담은 ‘비밀’,’신비’ 혹은 ‘덮다' 라는 뜻으로 속죄의 시입니다
믹담은 황금의 시라는 걸작품으로 분류되고 모두 6편이 있습니다.
다윗은 광야의 고통 중 이 시편을 썼습니다.
Psalm 16
A miktam of David.
David's mixtam is a poem of atonement, meaning "secret," "mystery," or "cover."
Mixtam is classified as a masterpiece called Poetry of Gold, and there are six in total.
David wrote this Psalm in the throes of the wilderness.
1. 하나님이여 나를 지켜 주소서 내가 주께 피하나이다
1 Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.
다윗은 위기중에 하나님의 보호를 간구합니다.
’피하나이다’는 완료형 문장으로 그가 새로 하나님께 의지한 것이 아니라 과거로부터 계속해서 하나님을 의지해 왔음을 나타냅니다.
David asks for God's protection during the crisis.
It is a complete sentence that indicates that he did not rely on God newly, but on God continuously from the past.
2. 내가 여호와께 아뢰되 주는 나의 주님이시오니 주 밖에는 나의 복이 없다 하였나이다
2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
‘나의 주님’은 히브리어로 [아도나이]이고 ‘주인’을 의미합니다. 종을 부리는 주인을 말합니다. (창세기 24:9) 이 말은 ‘내가 당신의 종입니다’라는 의미를 내포합니다. 그의 주변에 ‘다른 신에게 예배를 드리는 자’ 들이 있지만 그는 오직 한 분 하나님 만을 섬깁니다. 다윗은 그의 참된 행복이 오직 하나님께로 부터 온다고 확신합니다. 확신 가운데 기뻐하고 즐거워하는 (9절) 그는 자신에게 우상을 섬기라고 유혹하는 자들에게 확신을 가지고 대답합니다.
"My Lord" is [Adonai] in Hebrew and means "master". The owner of the bell. (Genesis 24:9) It means, "I am your servant." There are "people who worship other gods" around him, but he only serves GOD. David is convinced that his true happiness comes only from GOD. Rejoice and delight in conviction (Verse 9), he answers with conviction to those who tempt him to serve his idols.
3. 땅에 있는 성도들은 존귀한 자들이니 나의 모든 즐거움이 그들에게 있도다
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
‘땅에 있는 성도’는 하나님과 언약 관계에 있는 자, 하나님께 충성하는 자를 말합니다. 여기서 ‘존귀한 자’는 세상의 권세나 영화를 누리는 자가 아닙니다. 이것은 신령한 세계의 영광과 존귀를 차지하는 자를 말합니다.
"Saints on the ground" refers to those who are in a covenant relationship with God and those who are loyal to God. Here, the 'respectful' is not a person who enjoys the power or movies of the world. This refers to the glory and honor of the divine world.
4. 다른 신에게 예물을 드리는 자는 괴로움이 더할 것이라 나는 그들이 드리는 피의 전제를 드리지 아니하며 내 입술로 그 이름도 부르지 아니하리로다
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names on my lips.
다른 신에게도 예물을 드리는 혼합주의 자들은 제1계명을 어기는 자들입니다. 그들은 영혼과 육신에 괴로운 형벌을 당하게 될것입니다.
우상을 섬기는 자들은 ‘피의 전제’를 드렸습니다. 그들은 어린 아이를 제물로 드리거나 에배중에 피를 마시는 의식을 행하기도 했습니다. 이스라엘 주변의 이방국가에서 사람을 제물로 바치는 경우가 많았습니다.
‘내 입술로 그 이름도 부르지 아니하리라’. 율법은 우상의 이름도 부르지 못하게 금지했습니다. (출애굽기 23:13, 신명기12:3) 다윗은 오직 하나님만을 섬기고 그 명령을 따른다고 고백합니다.
The mixedists who offer gifts to other gods are the ones who violate the First Commandment. They will face painful punishment for their souls and bodies.
Those who serve idols have given them a "blood premise." They also performed rituals where they sacrificed a young child or drank blood in the stomach. People were often sacrificed in foreign countries around Israel.
"I will not call your name with my lips". The law forbids even calling the names of idols. (Exodus 23:13, Deuteronomy 12:3) David confesses that he only serves God and follows his orders.
5. 여호와는 나의 산업과 나의 잔의 소득이시니 나의 분깃을 지키시나이다
5 Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
하나님께서 자신의 모든 것이 되신다는 다윗의 신앙고백입니다. 이는 제사장들에게 주신 하나님의 기업에 대한 약속을 근거한 것입니다 (민수기 18:20). 다윗은 이 약속대로 오직 하나님만을 자신의 기업으로 삼았던 것입니다. ‘잔’은 인간 누구에게나 주어지는 분복을 상징하는 말입니다. ‘나의 분깃을 지키시나이다’는 다윗에게 주어진 기업과 잔을 다른 사람들이 빼앗아 가지 못하도록 하나님께서 지켜주신다는 말입니다.
It is David's confession of faith that God becomes everything. This is based on the promise of God's enterprise given to the priests (Numbers18:20). David only made God his business as his company, as he promised. The word 'zan' symbolizes the uniform given to all humans. "Keep my branch" means that God protects David from others from taking away the businesses and glasses given to him.
6. 내게 줄로 재어 준 구역은 아름다운 곳에 있음이여 나의 기업이 실로 아름답도다
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
‘내게 줄로 재어준 구역’은 다윗의 거주지인 예루살렘과 그 주변을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 이는 다윗의 행복한 삶의 경험을 말하는 것입니다. 하나님을 모신 그의 삶은 행복한 것이었고 이런 행복한 삶이 하나님이 그에게 구별하여 정해주신 기업이었습니다.
"The area that you measured me with a rope" is not about Jerusalem, David's residence, and the surrounding area. It refers to David's happy life experience. His life serving God was a happy thing, and this happy life was a company that God distinguished for him.
7. 나를 훈계하신 여호와를 송축할지라 밤마다 내 양심이 나를 교훈하도다
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
다윗은 자신을 내적으로 인도하시는 (훈계) 하나님을 찬송합니다. 이런 내적 인도하심이 칼빈(Calvin)이 말하는 ‘성령의 내적 조명’입니다. 다윗은 이런 훈계가 있었기에 하나님의 기업을 누릴수 있었습니다. 다윗은 밤마다 영감을 받고 감사하고 영적 즐거움을 느낍니다. 그는 자신 안에 있는 허영심을 알게 되고 그의 양심이 그를 교훈합니다.
David praises God, who leads him internally. This inner guidance is what Calvin calls the "internal illumination of the Holy Spirit." David was able to enjoy the enterprise of God because of these admonitions. David is inspired, grateful, and spiritually entertained every night. He learns the vanity within him and his conscience teaches him.
8. 내가 여호와를 항상 내 앞에 모심이여 그가 나의 오른쪽에 계시므로 내가 흔들리지 아니하리로다
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
다윗이 주님을 항상 그 앞에 모심은 하나님께서 항상 그의 마음 가운데 임재해 계신다는 말입니다. 하나님과의 교제는 하나님의 말씀에 순종하는 것으로 지속될 수 있습니다. 그는 평안할 때나 고난을 받을 때나 하나님께 변함없는 믿음을 유지했습니다.
In other words, God is always in his heart, who has always served the Lord before him. The relationship with God can continue by obeying God's words. He maintained his unwavering faith in God in peace and in suffering.
9. 이러므로 나의 마음이 기쁘고 나의 영도 즐거워하며 내 육체도 안전히 살리니
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
다윗의 영혼과 육체가 모주 기쁨과 안전으로 충만해 있습니다. 다윗에게 주신 기업은 영혼만의 기쁨이 아니라 그의 육체 까지도 행복한 상태로 사는 것입니다.
David's soul and body are filled with joy and safety. The enterprise given to David is not only the joy of the soul, but also the happiness of his body.
10. 이는 주께서 내 영혼을 스올에 버리지 아니하시며 주의 거룩한 자를 멸망시키지 않으실 것임이니이다
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
여기서 ‘영혼’은 히브리어 [네페쉬]에 해당하는데 ‘생명’, ‘자신’이라는 의미가 있습니다. 이 시는 죽음의 위기에서 자신의 생명을 구출해달라는 간구의 시입니다. 그러니, 이 용어는 ‘생명’으로 해석할 수 있습니다.
‘거룩한 자를 멸망시키지 않으실 것임’ 은 일차적으로 다윗이 죽음의 위기를 벗어나고, 궁극적으로 부활에 대한 것을 의미합니다. 베드로와 바울은 이 구절을 예수그리스도의 부활에 대한 예언 성취의 증거로 인용했습니다. (사도행전 2:25, 13:35)
Here, 'soul' corresponds to the Hebrew word [Nepesch], which means 'life' and 'self'. This poem is a desperate poem to save one's life from the crisis of death. So, this term can be interpreted as life.
“You let your faithful one see decay”, "You will not destroy the Holy One" means that David is primarily out of the crisis of death, and ultimately about resurrection. Peter and Paul cited this verse as evidence of the fulfillment of the prophecy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:25, 13:35)
11. 주께서 생명의 길을 내게 보이시리니 주의 앞에는 충만한 기쁨이 있고 주의 오른쪽에는 영원한 즐거움이 있나이다
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
‘생명의 길’은 영원한 생명으로 나아가는 길을 의미합니다. 그는 궁극적인 구원, 즉 부활을 내다보며 이 표현을 했을 것입니다. ‘영원한 즐거움’은 세상에서 잠시 맛보는 그런 즐거움과는 전혀 다른 것입니다. 다윗은 부활을 바라며, 그 부활 때 얻을 즐거움에 대해 이야기하고 있습니다.
The 'road of life' means the path to eternal life. He would have said this in anticipation of the ultimate salvation, the resurrection. 'Eternal Joy' is nothing like the pleasure of tasting it for a while in the world. David is talking about the joy he will get from the resurrection, hoping for a resurrection.
