사도행전 5장 :12-26

12 사도들의 손을 통하여 민간에 표적과 기사가 많이 일어나매 믿는 사람이 다 마음을 같이하여 솔로몬 행각에 모이고

13 그 나머지는 감히 그들과 상종하는 사람이 없으나 백성이 칭송하더라

14 믿고 주께로 나아오는 자가 더 많으니 남녀의 큰 무리더라

15 심지어 병든 사람을 메고 거리에 나가 침대와 요 위에 누이고 베드로가 지날 때에 혹 그의 그림자라도 누구에게 덮일까 바라고

16 예루살렘 부근의 수많은 사람들도 모여 병든 사람과 더러운 귀신에게 괴로움 받는 사람을 데리고 와서 다 나음을 얻으니라

17 대제사장과 그와 함께 있는 사람 즉 사두개인의 당파가 다 마음에 시기가 가득하여 일어나서

18 사도들을 잡아다가 옥에 가두었더니

19 주의 사자가 밤에 옥문을 열고 끌어내어 이르되

20 가서 성전에 서서 이 생명의 말씀을 다 백성에게 말하라 하매

21 그들이 듣고 새벽에 성전에 들어가서 가르치더니 대제사장과 그와 함께 있는 사람들이 와서 공회와 이스라엘 족속의 원로들을 다 모으고 사람을 옥에 보내어 사도들을 잡아오라 하니

22 부하들이 가서 옥에서 사도들을 보지 못하고 돌아와

23 이르되 우리가 보니 옥은 든든하게 잠기고 지키는 사람들이 문에 서 있으되 문을 열고 본즉 그 안에는 한 사람도 없더이다 하니

24 성전 맡은 자와 제사장들이 이 말을 듣고 의혹하여 이 일이 어찌 될까 하더니

25 사람이 와서 알리되 보소서 옥에 가두었던 사람들이 성전에 서서 백성을 가르치더이다 하니

26 성전 맡은 자가 부하들과 같이 가서 그들을 잡아왔으나 강제로 못함은 백성들이 돌로 칠까 두려워함이더라

 

Acts of the Apostles 5: 12-26

12 The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade.

13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.

14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.

15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.

16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.

17 Then the high priest and all his associates, who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.

18 They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.

19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.

20 'Go, stand in the temple courts,' he said, 'and tell the people the full message of this new life.'

21 At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin-the full assembly of the elders of Israel-and sent to the jail for the apostles.

22 But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there. So they went back and reported,

23 'We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing at the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside.'

24 On hearing this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were puzzled, wondering what would come of this.

25 Then someone came and said, 'Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people.'

26 At that, the captain went with his officers and brought the apostles. They did not use force, because they feared that the people would stone them.

사도행전 5장 : 12-26

12 사도들의 손을 통하여 민간에 표적과 기사가 많이 일어나매 믿는 사람이 다 마음을 같이하여 솔로몬 행각에 모이고

12 The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade.

  이 표적을 본 사람들은 믿음이 더 견고해 졌고,  더 많은 이들이 공동 집회에 몰려옵니다.

 

13 그 나머지는 감히 그들과 상종하는 사람이 없으나 백성이 칭송하더라

13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.

  믿지 않는 이들은 하나님의 능력과 이적이 드러남을 보고 사도들을 함부로 대하지 못했고 교회를 높이게 됩니다. 아니니아와 삽비라에 대한 형벌이 불신앙자들에게 겁을 주어 하나님께서 벌주신 자들과 함께 하지 않게 됩니다. 망설이며 함께하지 못하는 자들은 예루살렘에서 벌어지던  표적과 기사에 대해 경험해보지 못한 자들입니다. 

 

14 믿고 주께로 나아오는 자가 더 많으니 남녀의 큰 무리더라

14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.

  교회 신도들 수가 많이 증가하고 은사와 기적이 있어 더욱 많은 이들이 몰려옵니다.

 

15 심지어 병든 사람을 메고 거리에 나가 침대와 요 위에 누이고 베드로가 지날 때에 혹 그의 그림자라도 누구에게 덮일까 바라고

15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.

  

16 예루살렘 부근의 수많은 사람들도 모여 병든 사람과 더러운 귀신에게 괴로움 받는 사람을 데리고 와서 다 나음을 얻으니라

16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.

사도들이 복음을 전하는 자들에게, 하나님께서 주신 믿음에 힘 입어 각종 은사가 있었고 기적도 있었습니다. 사도들이 가는 곳에 그리스도의 능력이 함께 하였습니다. 병자들이 고침 받고자, 베드로가 지나가는 길목에 누이고 베드로의 그림자라도 스쳐가길 바랄 정도로 그들은 간절히 고침 받길 원했습니다. 오늘 우리들도, 믿음 으로 바로 서면, 하나님께서 우리와 함께 하심으로 수많은 이적과 표적의 간증자로 설수 있습니다. 

 

17 대제사장과 그와 함께 있는 사람 즉 사두개인의 당파가 다 마음에 시기가 가득하여 일어나서

17 Then the high priest and all his associates, who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.

  당시 종교지도자 들은 하나님께 향하는 열정으로 예배드리기보다는 자신들을 드러내고자 하는 위선과 집단 이기주의에 의해 성전을 정치 사설 집단의 도구로 정도로 생각했습니다. 그들은 자신들의 야망과 이익에 대적되는 어떤 집단도 용서하지 않고 하나님의 처소를 자신들의 사리사욕을 위한 도구로 전락시켰습니다. 

  생명의 말씀을 전하는 사도들을 시기하고 핍박하는 어리석은 행동에 열심이었습니다. 

 

18 사도들을 잡아다가 옥에 가두었더니

18 They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.

 

19 주의 사자가 밤에 옥문을 열고 끌어내어 이르되

19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.

  주의 사자를 보내신 이유는 사도들을 적의 압박에서 영원히 구하려고 감옥에서 내보내신 것은 아닙니다. 사도들은  나가서 얼마되지 않아 다시 감옥에 끌려가는 것을 허락하셨고 다시 채찍에 맞는것도 허락하십니다.  이 기적을 보여주신 것은 주께서 그들을 당신의 손안에 두고 보호하신다는 것을 보여주고자 하셨기 때문입니다. 

  주의 천사, 하늘의 영이 우리의 안전을 위해 유의하고 있다는 것은 연약한 우리에게 유익하고 위로가 됩니다. 

 

20 가서 성전에 서서 이 생명의 말씀을 다 백성에게 말하라 하매

20 'Go, stand in the temple courts,' he said, 'and tell the people the full message of this new life.'

  사도들을 석방시키신 목적은 그들이 계속 복음을 전파하게 하심입니다. 사도들은 이 말씀에 따라 적들에게 압박 받음에도그들이 가야할 길을 다 갔고, 훗날 마지막 죽음에 이르는 순간에도 용감하게 전도할 수 있었습니다. 그들은 자신들이 ‘이’ 생명의 말씀을 전할 구원의 사자들임을 명확히 인식했습니다. 그들은 그리스도의 명령에 순종하였고 성령의 인도하심으로 아무런 두려움 없이 ‘이 생명의 말씀을 전했습니다.

 

21 그들이 듣고 새벽에 성전에 들어가서 가르치더니 대제사장과 그와 함께 있는 사람들이 와서 공회와 이스라엘 족속의 원로들을 다 모으고 사람을 옥에 보내어 사도들을 잡아오라 하니

21 At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin-the full assembly of the elders of Israel-and sent to the jail for the apostles.

  대제사장 무리들은, 감금했던 사도들이 성전에서 가르치자, 이것이 기적에 의해 가능했음을 확인하고도 자신들의 목적을 위해 하나님의 일을 방해합니다. 당시의 종교지도자들은 예수님을 죽이고자 온갖 음모를 다했듯이, 그들의 이익을 위해서는 모든 부정적수단을 동원하고 살인이나 폭력적인 수단 까지도 사용하던 위선자들이었습니다. 

 

22 부하들이 가서 옥에서 사도들을 보지 못하고 돌아와

22 But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there. So they went back and reported,

 

23 이르되 우리가 보니 옥은 든든하게 잠기고 지키는 사람들이 문에 서 있으되 문을 열고 본즉 그 안에는 한 사람도 없더이다 하니

23 'We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing at the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside.'

 

24 성전 맡은 자와 제사장들이 이 말을 듣고 의혹하여 이 일이 어찌 될까 하더니

24 On hearing this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were puzzled, wondering what would come of this.

 

25 사람이 와서 알리되 보소서 옥에 가두었던 사람들이 성전에 서서 백성을 가르치더이다 하니

25 Then someone came and said, 'Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people.'

 

26 성전 맡은 자가 부하들과 같이 가서 그들을 잡아왔으나 강제로 못함은 백성들이 돌로 칠까 두려워함이더라

26 At that, the captain went with his officers and brought the apostles. They did not use force, because they feared that the people would stone them.

  유대인들은 성전 맡은 자들을 자신들 마음대로 임명할수 없었습니다. 그들은 로마 총독의 지배권안에 소속된자들입니다. 그들은 민중이 폭동을 일으킬가 두려워서 강제로 사도들을 연행하지 않았습니다. 사도들은 자신들이 소란의 원인이 되지 않으려고 그들에게 저항하지 않고 연행되어 갑니다.
